Thanks. That typography one is a delight.

Nice resources. Agree with @Rob, I enjoyed the Typography article. Sticks true to print design standards we used at the newspapers I worked for in the past.

As for the article on designing for the iPhone X – I dislike Apple passing the buck to developers (both app and website developers) when it comes to how that “notch” design is handled. They introduces a “bezel-less” iPhone and are proceeding to have web developers add “software bezels” to their sites.

Apple does a lot of good things when it comes to web standards… and then they do stuff like this. Frustrating.

From the same site @Steve_J linked to for the typography article, I found a nice article about constraints in design, that I feel is also appropriate for web developers. I agree with it – constraints are good: http://pierrickcalvez.com/journal/how-restraint-will-fuel-your-creativity

I just wanted to share the pain it is going to be for that new iPhone :grimacing:

That’s why I go back to pre-built themes from time to time. At the moment I’m building a site with Vitor’s Corp theme and really enjoying working within the constraints of a conventional theme. It’s good discipline, especially if - like me - you don’t have any formal design training.
